Healthy Veggie Spaghetti Recipe

Here’s another great recipe for the health conscious people like you.

This is a simple recipe which doesn’t require much preparation and hard work. Nowadays, I feel that time is sometime which I am lack of. The amount of time I spend in projects or school’s work has increased dramatically where as the time for me to explore new recipe is scarce. Therefore, it is important to cook something that is quick and easy to prepare. This recipe definitely satisfy the criteria for “quick and easy”. You can enjoy a healthy meal in just 15 minutes without any hassle.

Ingredients
Serving size :1

  1. Spaghetti, cooked
  2. 1 handful (about 4 tablespoon) of mix vegetables (peas, corn, carrot)
  3. 3 pieces of shitake mushroom, slice
  4. 3 cherry tomato, slice
  5. 3 cloves of garlic, mince
  6. 1 chilli padi (optional), seedless and slice
  7. 2 teaspoon of olive oil
  8. Salt
  9. Black pepper

Directions

  • Preheat the skillet over a medium heat. Add the olive oil and sauté the garlic until it is translucent.
  • Add the mix vegetables, shitake, tomato and chilli into the skillet and sauté for 2 minutes. Add a little bit of salt for seasoning
  • Pour in about 50 ml of water into the skillet and let it cook for another 2 minutes before adding the spaghetti. Mix the spaghetti well with the rest of the ingredient.
  • Before serving, you can add additional salt and pepper.

Stir fry Chinese Leek Flower with Oyster Sauce

Ingredients
Serving: 3

  • Chinese leek flower (120g)
  • 2 cloves of garlics
  • 1/2 a medium carrot
  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon of oyster sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon of white pepper

Preparation

  1. Cut the leek flower about 2.5 inches long and cut the carrot into thin slice about 2.5 inches long.
  2. Minces the garlic into small bits.
  3. Add the oyster sauce, white pepper and 50ml of water in a small mixing bowl. Mix well.
  4. Heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil in skillet over a medium heat. Saute the garlic until lightly browned (Not burned). Add the carrot and leek flower and stir fry for about 2 minutes. Add 50 ml of water, cover it and cook for 2 miutes
  5. Add the mixture into the skillet and cook for another 8 minutes before serving

Spaghetti with Tomato Mushroom Sauce

Spaghetti with canned tomato mushroom sauce is a swell recipe for those that are too busy to cook a proper meal. Furthermore, been busy is not even a sufficient reason to replace a nutritious meal with instant noodle. Instead of eating instant noodle which contains MSG and preservative that are harmful to our health. Why not gives this recipe a try? This is an easy recipe which requires at most 25 minutes to finish and you can enjoy a sumptuous meal.

Ingredients
Serving size: 1
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes

  • Spaghetti (80g)
  • 1 peppery chicken hot dog
  • 1 slice of Kraft Cheese
  • 1/2 of a carrot (50g)
  • 1/4 of a small yellow onion
  • 3 shitake mushrooms (you can add your favourite mushroom too)
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 4 tablespoons of tomato mushroom sauce
  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil

Preparation

  • Minces the garlic into small bits.
  • Dices the yellow onion and carrot so that it will cook quicker.
  • Slices the mushrooms about 1/4 inch.
  • Slice the hot dog about 45 degree.

Direction

  • Cook the spaghetti by following the instruction given on the packaging.
  • While the spaghettie is still cooking, you can prepare the sauce first. Heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil in small pot over a medium heat. Saute onions and garlic until lightly browned. Add the carrot, tomato sauce and 50 ml of water into the pot.
  • Lower the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes.  If the liquid has dried off, add about 50 ml before simmering. Add in the peppery chicken hotdog and mushroom and simmer for another 10 mintues until the sauce is not too watery.
  • Place a slice of cheese on the cooked spaghetti and add in the sauce over it before serving.

Other ingredient such as tomato, zucchini, capsicum, spices can be added into the recipes.
